In every period in history, people have worn and cherished jewelry as an important part of their image, whether they are rich or poor, everywhere in the world.
When archeologists find tombs in Egypt, Syria or elsewhere in areas that civilization began, what they find in the bridal chambers of important people is jewelry. Since gold doesn’t deteriorate, some amazing jewelry has been discovered in these tombs. Some of these treasures are now on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in other museums around the world.
The fact that becomes obvious is that jewelry has transcended time. Therefore, jewelry, without question, IS an art form. It is sculpture that is worn on the body,
